People who don’t understand your vision will discourage you, and sometimes you will wonder if you will ever find that key person who will lead to the beginning of the change you’ve been dreaming to see in your area.
That is why you need both a guide and a community. A step by step plan for how to get started right, and a group of people to walk together with changes everything. Having peers and an experienced mentor to help you troubleshoot problems, be accountable, and stay on track while also inspiring you to dream big is really critical.

Aaron joined the Getting Started in Disciple Making Movements Program last year. Before the course, he was a frustrated and discouraged believer. He longed to see something happen in his community, but didn’t know how to begin.
When we saw his name and location, we realized one of our experienced coaches lived only a few hours from him. Its seemed clear that God had been setting it for them to meet and begin to work together. Excited, Aaron started to meet with his new coach.
Anticipation grew as he watched the training videos, prayed, and began to write down his End Vision. Faith was rising in his heart.
The coach met with him and together they made specific goals related to the videos he'd watched and pdfs he’d been reading. Soon, Aaron was able to mobilize others in his community and build a team around his vision to reach his area.
Learning simple, reproducible evangelism skills, he started training his team and interested people. They began to abundantly share the gospel with a goal to reach every household in their county of about 50,000 people. Already, many have responded saying they are open to hear more! With the results they are starting to see, Aaron estimates about 10% are ready to respond. That would mean more than 5,000 people that say they are interested to hear more, give their lives to Jesus, or join a fellowship.

Getting Started in Disciple Making Movements isn’t so much of a knowledge-based training where you will learn theories. Instead, it is a practical just-in-time training that will give you what you need to learn and do each step of the way.
Because I’ve walked this path before and know the obstacles and frustrations, I will walk with you step by step toward starting that first disciple-making group that will be ready to grow and multiply. You don’t need to repeat all the many mistakes I’ve made along the way, but can learn from what I’ve done both right and wrong and avoid the pitfalls most people fall into.

Your Instructor
C. Anderson was born in the midst of a civil war in Nigeria. Growing up in Ghana and Liberia, she moved back to the United States when in her early teens. In college she studied Cross Cultural Communication at North Central University and later earned a Master's degree from Fuller Seminary in Global Leadership. Other than a few sabbaticals, she and her husband have lived the past 29 years in Asia. They have three adult children who were all born in the mountain nation of Nepal. Anderson now resides in Thailand.
Anderson is an experienced field practitioner and leader. She is passionate about training, coaching, inspiring, equipping, and walking alongside disciple-makers. Developing emerging indigenous leaders to reach their potential is one of her primary ministries.
By God's grace, she has been privileged to play a key role in catalyzing several significant and growing Disciple-Making Movements (DMMs) in Asia. She has served in numerous senior level leadership roles in YWAM Frontier Missions and speaks in schools and conferences globally. Anderson most enjoys hands-on making of disciples among the unreached in local contexts.
Her hobbies are running half marathons, reading, gardening, hanging out in coffee shops, enjoying authentic local food and participating in cultural events in her neighborhood and city.
